Our team of chiropractors specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal problems, such as back pain, neck pain, headaches, arm pain and leg pain. Chiropractic care at IMU Healthcare emphasizes prevention, rehabilitation, and self-efficacy.
1 hour is reserved for the initial visit. The potential for self-treatment is typically explored first. Manipulation, therapeutic modalities, and soft tissue therapies may be employed as ancillary techniques to promote independence in self-care.
30 minutes per visit. Absent chronic complaints or those caused by injury or trauma, the course of care usually ranges from 4 to 6 visits.
The goal of treatment is to promote the principles and practice of self-care.
Manipulation and mobilizations may be used to restore motion.
Therapeutic modalities such as electrotherapy, ultrasound, and laser therapy are used to diminish pain, inflammation and trigger points.
Ancillary techniques such as myofascial release may be employed for pain relief to promote activity therapies.
Activity therapies such as education regarding body mechanics and progressive conditioning exercises (for posture, proprioception, aerobics, flexibility, and strength) are used to reduce, or control and eliminate complaints.
Dietary advice and stress management is provided to reduce pain, inflammation, and support musculoskeletal health.
